The CDC and the Education Nationale (French Ministry for Education)
• Since 2007 the CDC has developed a partnership with the Collège des Chalets. This establishment has been involved in organising a dance workshop for which the CDC has arranged interventions of external contributors.
• From now on high-schoolers can take a dance option for their Literature Baccalauréat. The CDC is a partner of the Lycée Saint Sernin: it enriches the program of the teachers by organising practical workshops and meetings with the artists concerned by the program.
• Since September 2007, a dance-theatre option has been proposed to the students in first and second year of licence (Bachelor’s degree, L1 and L2), within the Modern Literature Department.
In 2009, the CIAM (Centre d'Initiatives Artistiques de l'Université de Toulouse - Le Mirail – Artistic Initiatives Centre of Toulouse University Le Mirail) will propose a professional licence to the students in the artistic fields (music, theatre, plastic arts, applied arts, audiovisuals) as well as to retraining artists or artists looking for an academic qualification.
The program of the academic and practical courses has been established by the CDC and the CESMD (Conservatoire d’Études Supérieures de Musique et de Danse – Academy For Higher Education of Music and Dance).
In September 2008, a new University Diploma of Performing Arts, Dance and Circus Arts (Diplôme d'Université Arts du spectacle Danse et Arts du Cirque ) has been created.
