The 2005/2006 season started with the now customary Printemps de Septembre. After a month stay, David Wampach created in Toulouse his first play Bascule while Jennifer Lacey interpreted a solo called Skin Mitten.

In January, the second edition of the international festival C'est de la Danse Contemporaine took place. Its programming was mainly centred on the meeting between occidental choreographers and other identities, other theatrical and choreographic practices, most of them from outside Europe.

The audience could discover the proposals of Jérôme Bel and the Thai Picket Klunchun, of Rachid Ourandance with Brazilian dancers or of the Canadian Benoît Lachambre about the Ramayana..

Another powerful moment of the season was the ¡ Mira ! festival organised in partnership with the TNT and which offered for over ten days a focus on the Spanish and Portuguese contemporary scenes. The choreographic proposals have marked the present edition by the presence of Mal Pelo, Sonia Baptista, Joao Fiadeiro, Vera Mantero, Germana Civera and Mercedes Ruiz, Amaia Urra.

Jan Fabre and Mathilde Monnier have also been CDC’s and TNT’s guests during the season. Jean Fabre presented in Toulouse the unique representation in Fance of Histoire des larmes, readapted for an indoor version as it had been created for the Cour d’honneur at the Festival d’Avignon.

A photographic exposition relating the evolution of dancing during the 20th century as well as a series of thematic lectures and workshops have been proposed within the framework of Basiques, an event aimed at studying and re-studying the basics of choreographic culture as a complement of our show programming.

And lastly, the CDC has chosen to accompany in priority three choreographic teams of the Midi-Pyrenees Region and to settle regular appointments with the audience. Therefore, Philippe Combes, La Zampa and Samuel Mathieu have been present in the different events of the season.
