This new edition of the CDC Festival sticks to the ambition wished for the public: present the creation of today while keeping up with the past.
The 2008 edition was notably programmed around artists and works which belong to and tell the history of dance, while at the same time giving great importance to the creation.
Thereby we host, in partnership with the TNT, the huge artist Merce Cunningham, and also Angelin Preljocaj, Michèle Anne De Mey who belongs now to the contemporary dance repertory; as well as about ten creations produced within the CDC, like those by Marco Berrettini, Alain Buffard, David Wampach, Sylvain Prunenec, Manuela Agnesini, Patricia Ferrara and Hélène Iratchet. This program will be enriched by plays designed for a young audience as well as choreographic installations which remain in CDC’s tonality.
Lastly – thanks to the support and enthusiasm of our partners in the Region – we were able to extend our collaborations to 7 towns of Midi-Pyrénées this year, so as to have the movement grow here and there.
Over 35 representations and 2 installations will render the complexity of a living art which does not deny the public’s pleasure while at the same time creating a new, curve and interrogating, legend for the bodies.
